It brings together technologies from the Airdrive Design concept and the MQ Body construction, giving the reel exceptional lightness alongside outstanding sensitivity and genuine durability. That combination makes it a natural fit for finesse fishing, but it holds its own across a wide range of lure fishing techniques.

Airdrive Technology for Better Performance

The Airdrive concept covers the front-facing components: the spool, bail, and rotor. It starts with the Airdrive Rotor, made from lightweight Zaion-V material, which shifts the balance towards the lower part of the reel. The result is increased sensitivity and a noticeably less tiring experience during long sessions. The hollow Airdrive Bail arm has been optimised to improve line management - line is laid far more cleanly and tangles at the bail are significantly reduced. The optimised line entry angle at the line roller also reduces line twist, cutting down the risk of wind knots. The lightweight Airdrive Spool with its optimised spool lip rounds off the package, delivering reduced friction and, together with the clean line lay, improved casting performance and longer distances.

Gearing and Drag to Match

The light yet rigid MQ Body in Zaion-V material gives the Daiwa 25 Prorex MQ LT a torsion-resistant housing for the gearing. The oversized Tough Digigear system, with its extra-large gear teeth, delivers optimal power transfer under load and extremely high durability - so despite its refinement, this reel has the muscle to handle powerful fish. The ATD Type-L drag supports this further, operating with virtually no start-up resistance and releasing line smoothly and immediately at the set drag pressure. Even at high settings there is no jerking, which means no sudden load spikes on your line - reducing the risk of break-offs when strong fish make an abrupt run. With several sizes on offer, the Daiwa 25 Prorex MQ LT covers you from perch and trout through to zander and pike. Light and sensitive, yet equally strong and resilient.

Technologies Included

Airdrive Design Concept - lighter rotation with near-zero start-up resistance, improved balance and better line management

Monocoque MQ Body - one-piece, compact reel body with extremely high torsional rigidity

Tough Digigear - robust gearing for exceptional smoothness, minimal running resistance and extremely long service life

Zaion V Premium Carbon Composite - exceptionally light and torsion-resistant

ATD Type-L Drag - particularly smooth drag action; set drag pressure is released with near-zero initial resistance

Airdrive Spool - reduced spool weight, improved balance and optimised spool lip

Airdrive Bail - reduced weight and improved line entry angle at the line roller

Airdrive Rotor - lighter, more compact rotor with lower start-up resistance

Airdrive Shaft - outstanding smoothness combined with high power and durability

Twistbuster III - significantly less line twist

ABS Anti Backlash System - longer casts and considerably fewer line tangles

Specifications

Fixed spool reel

Several models available

Airdrive Design Concept

MQ Body construction

LT (Light & Tough)

6 ball bearings (incl. 1 CRBB)

Perfect LS line clip

Aluminium handle

Size 2000: I-Shape handle knob

Sizes 2500-4000: T-Shape handle knob
