daiwa-prorex-lazy-prop
Prorex Lazy Prop

A Hybrid Lure Built for Big Pike

The Daiwa Prorex Lazy Prop is a hybrid big bait available in a range of colour patterns, developed in close collaboration with the Scandinavian Daiwa Team. They put it through its paces specifically for targeting large pike, and it proved itself particularly effective in spring and when worked over weed beds. At 24 cm and 120 g, it sits firmly in big bait territory - and rightly so. The Daiwa Prorex Lazy Prop combines massive stimulus appeal with an imposing silhouette, making it exactly the kind of lure that gets big pike to commit.

Intense Pressure Waves and an Interchangeable Tail

The front section of the Daiwa Prorex Lazy Prop is built around a hard, robust body. The most striking feature is the propeller mounted at the nose, which begins rotating with the lightest pull and generates intense pressure waves as well as strong vibrations. At the rear, the hard-body section is complemented by a rubber curly tail grub, secured via a practical screw system that holds firm under pressure and allows for a quick tail swap. The lure ships with both a single curly tail and a twin tail, giving you maximum versatility. Both tails produce lively action that works in perfect harmony with the powerful propeller - enough to draw a strike even from wary, experienced predators. By default, the Lazy Prop is designed for shallower water, with a running depth of 0.6 - 1.7 m. However, thanks to a convenient chin eyelet, you can attach a drop weight to fish it deeper when the situation calls for it. Sharp treble hooks and robust split rings complete the package. If you're after a pike lure with maximum stimulus appeal, the Daiwa Prorex Lazy Prop delivers exactly that.

How to Fish It

Work the Lazy Prop over weed beds in spring, where it has shown particular effectiveness for targeting big pike. The chin eyelet allows you to add a drop weight when you need to reach deeper zones beyond its standard running depth of 0.6 - 1.7 m. Swap between the single curly tail and the twin tail to vary the action and find what the fish want on the day.

Key Facts:

Hybrid lure / big bait / prop bait

Length: 24 cm

Weight: 120 g

Running depth: 0.6 - 1.7 m

Slow sinking

Available in multiple colour patterns

Designed specifically for pike fishing

Hard-body front section

Responsive nose propeller - rotates under the lightest pull

Generates intense pressure waves and strong vibrations

Rubber curly tail grub at the rear

Screw-fix tail system for a secure hold and quick changes

Includes an additional twin tail

Chin eyelet for attaching drop weights

Sharp treble hooks and robust split rings included

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0548/9197/0669/files/daiwa-prorex-lazy-prop-ghost-gold-perch-main.jpg?v=1793604525
