Bait Breath ET Shad

A Soft Lure with Details That Matter

The Bait Breath ET Shad is a shad available in a range of sizes and colours, designed by Japanese tournament angler Masaru Nakamura. At first glance it looks fairly understated, but look closer and you'll notice the small but decisive details that set it apart. The paddle tail isn't round like most shads - it's oval, with an egg-shaped silhouette. That shape is exactly where the name comes from: Egg Tail (ET) Shad. Combined with a tapered tail tip, it produces a high-frequency action underwater that predators pick up easily. Along the flanks you'll spot fine ribs that generate vibrations targeting the lateral line. To maximise attraction and buy extra time on the strike, the Bait Breath ET Shad comes treated with flavour.

Sizes and Target Species

Each size of the Bait Breath ET Shad has its own area of use. The smaller variants up to 11 cm are well suited for targeting perch and other smaller predators, fished on classic jig heads or a variety of finesse rigs. The larger variants from 14 cm upwards come into their own when you're after bigger quarry such as zander, pike, and largemouth bass. Every size in the range features a convenient dorsal slot that makes rigging on an offset hook straightforward.
