Trout Rods
Here you will find rods that are ideally suited to trout fishing thanks to their components, length and casting weight.
Frequently asked questions
Since long casts are rarely needed when trout fishing - you are often working overgrown rivers and streams - a length of 2 metres is perfectly sufficient.
As most trout lures are fairly small, a rod with a casting weight of 10 to 15 g is more than adequate.
Absolutely. It is actually a very good choice. The light lures and insect imitations can be presented particularly well with an ultralight rod.
The rod should have a smooth, progressive action throughout to provide as much cushioning as possible during the fight, as trout have a tendency to throw the hook. It should also be as light as possible and load up well on the cast with light lures.
