Shimano's predator rods have stood for quality and uncompromising performance for many years - and the Shimano Curado casting rod range is no exception.
Built for Baitcasting
The Shimano Curado casting rods represent a thoroughly revised generation compared to their predecessor, which was only available in the USA. The blank features Hi-Power-X construction, which reduces lateral twist and ovalisaton of the blank, delivering greater stability and power throughout the cast and the fight. Shimano has fitted the Curado with their own Ci4+ Custom Trigger reel seat - it sits exceptionally well in the hand and holds any baitcaster securely. The guide choice is equally considered: Fuji Fazlite-K guides prevent line tangles during the cast and work equally well with mono and braid. Visually, the rod follows the colour scheme of the Curado baitcaster range - the dark green finish pairs perfectly with those reels, which we'd wholeheartedly recommend as a combination with the Curado Casting. Rod and reel work together in every sense, aesthetically and technically.

Curado Casting 610M / 208 cm / 7-21 g / einteilig
Solid rod After some back and forth, I opted for the 72H2 variant with 14-42g casting weight. It should be used for jigging walleye in the river. The rod arrived safely packaged and undamaged. In principle, there is nothing wrong with the processing. The rod was paired with an SLX DC. During the first use, I initially had the feeling that the rod handle was a bit too short at the back, but this feeling subsided after the first throws on the water and a short period of getting used to it. In my opinion, the rod is pretty strong. The 42g WG are quite realistic here, I wouldn't really rule out a bit more, but I haven't tested it myself. As a test, I fished the rod with rubbers from 7cm and 7g jigs up to rubbers of 15cm and 18g jigs. It all worked out wonderfully, although at the bottom you definitely noticed that the rod was no longer charging properly. In my opinion, the comfortable range of the rod starts with rubbers around 10cm and 14g jigs, which is pretty much exactly what I fish on my house water. I would describe the feedback from the blank as very good at any time. Conclusion: For this price, I am very satisfied with the rod and will certainly continue to use it for jigging on zander.

Nice piece of Shimano jewelry! What is great to write? Great rod, great price and great workmanship. I have the BFS, is already relatively “planky”, definitely not suitable for finesse fishing, but for cranking, twitching, jigging, smaller wobblers... (but everything for perch size) Nice tip, hard backrest, great roll holder... I'm thrilled so far and the rod will definitely give me a few nice hours on the water...

Very good For the price a great rod I have the 5-15g version for perch fishing. I would have liked a slightly softer tip but I'm still satisfied. Throwing distances are good the bait contact could be a bit better but for the price it is still very good you can feel everything you need to feel. The bite transmission is great even the attacks of gobies can be felt very clearly. Overall, definitely a recommendation

Top.. Become. I'll get it again soon as ML/ L. It's my first good baitcaster. Originally intended for large perches, it was able to cushion a 67 pike directly during the second use. What can I say, she relaxed completely. Toll
