Illex Compact Crusher

The Compact Crusher Spinnerbait for Perch & Co.

The Illex Compact Crusher from the Scream Series is the finesse version of the well-known Crusher Spinnerbait - sharing the same DNA but built in a more compact form. Although it is significantly smaller, it still delivers intense vibration and strong light reflection, making it an outstanding choice for targeting perch, largemouth bass and other smaller predators.

Meticulous Design and Quality Construction

The Illex Compact Crusher features an excellently balanced build centred around a robust 0.8 mm stainless steel wire axis. At the top, 2 willow blades in sizes #2.5 and #3 are fitted - they begin rotating even at the slowest retrieve, spreading strong attraction through the water. The lower section combines a fish-head-shaped lead head with a quality skirt and a razor-sharp single hook, which is further protected by a trailer guard. It is this meticulous design and quality construction that give the Compact Crusher its exceptional performance on the water.

Reliable in Snaggy Spots

Like its larger siblings, the Illex Compact Crusher excels around cover and structure. It glides reliably past weeds, wood and similar obstacles, making it the right choice when you want to fish exactly where predators are hiding. Whether you're working it through weed beds, lily pads, fallen timber or other submerged cover, it tracks cleanly through, picks up very few snags and produces plenty of bites. Even on heavily pressured waters with wary fish, it still triggers reflex strikes, setting a benchmark in finesse spinnerbait fishing.
