Generation 2 of the LMAB The Rodfather Spinning Series

A full year of development, countless hours on the water and relentless refinement of every detail went into the second generation of the LMAB The Rodfather Spinning. This rod series is built to meet the highest quality demands and satisfy the most discerning predator angler. The blank starts life as 40T Toray Carbon, cut in the traditional manner and rolled under heat onto custom-made steel mandrels produced specifically for The Rodfather. A heat treatment in the oven then gives the blank its strength, before it receives a final ultra-fine clear-coat coating that protects it from external influences and damage. The high-modulus 40T Toray Carbon delivers excellent sensitivity alongside the speed to react instantly to the most tentative of bites. The powerful backbone of the LMAB The Rodfather Spinning drives the strike home at long range and provides the authority to play even large, hard-fighting fish with confidence.

Clean Design, Thoughtful Features and Quality Components

The LMAB The Rodfather Spinning impresses with a clean design that combines elegance with attention to detail - you'll appreciate it before you've even made a cast. Practical features such as the Seaguide NHOOK hook keeper quickly prove their worth on the bank. The hook is clipped in at the bend; as long as the line is under tension it holds securely and keeps the hook point well away from the blank. Further quality components come from Fuji. The Fuji Alconite K-Series ring set in Frosted Dark Grey is lightweight, very quiet and optimises casting performance. At the handle, a Fuji TVS reel seat provides a combination of excellent ergonomics and enhanced sensitivity - you'll feel every knock, even without a finger on the blank. To improve balance, a hand-crafted carbon piece is built into the handle, so the rod sits perfectly in the hand and remains comfortable even through the longest sessions. The LMAB The Rodfather Spinning was not released until every single requirement had been met.

RF-S702ML
The lightest model in the range suits finesse fishing for perch, but also handles small surface lures, crankbaits and twitchbaits when targeting perch, asp and chub. Spin tail jigs also fish very well on this rod.

RF-S702M
The fast action of this rod makes it particularly effective with soft lures on a jig head, twitchbaits and jerkbaits. A strong choice for medium-weight perch fishing or light zander fishing.

RF-S762M
The all-round model of the series. It handles the widest variety of lures with ease - spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, twitchbaits and jerkbaits, as well as crankbaits and soft plastics all fish well on it. It comes into its own for heavier perch fishing and light zander fishing.

RF-S802MH
This rod is designed for light zander fishing with both soft plastics and hard lures. It's ideal when you want to switch quickly between a soft lure on a jig head and a plug for a slow, steady retrieve during a night session.

RF-S862H
A classic zander jigging rod that will serve you well on most waters. It lets you work soft lures with real precision and feel.

RF-S862XH
The most powerful rod in the series is the best choice when you're targeting zander in rivers with strong current. It handles soft lures on heavy jig heads with ease and doubles as an option for light pike fishing with soft plastics on a shallow rig.

Now that I have extensively tested the LMAB fishing rod, I would like to share my experiences. In general, I am satisfied with the rod. It feels good in the hand and the throwing behavior is excellent. However, there are a few points that have room for improvement. On the one hand, the hook holder is not optimally positioned. The rod blank was scratched the first time the hook was attached, which is of course not ideal. In addition, one of the rod rings came off the first time you eject it. Although this could be fixed with a little glue, it should not happen with a new rod. Despite these minor flaws, I have to say that the rod is a very good offer for the price, especially with the 30 percent discount. The quality and performance of the rod are convincing for this price and I would recommend it with reference to the points mentioned above.

The Rodfather Spinning 802MH / 240 cm | 10-35 g

Great rod! In contrast to some other walleye rods, very well balanced (3000 reel), especially great for people like me who don't like to reach completely in front of the reel. The feeling of the TVS roll holder is still there. As described, the length is great for a quick evening session where you want to switch between rubber and wobbler. The blank also charges very nicely, which allows you to really throw specifically. With some extremely hard walleye rods, it is also not always easy with a lighter wobbler. The handle length is nicely chosen. Satisfied all round!

The Rodfather Spinning 762M / 228 cm | 7-28 g

This is my first rod in this price range (previously around 100, - €) and I was very excited. My hopes were not disappointed. The feedback is really great, I didn't know that before. It is my absolute all-round rod, sensitive enough for perch fishing and has more than enough backbone for the typical 70s/80s pike in my surrounding waters. I've tested softbaits of 7.5 to 12 cm and hardbaits of 5 to 9 cm so far, everything works wonderfully. I combined it with an Ultegra 2500 FC. It looks great and is well balanced.

All you need is this rod I ordered the Rodfather 10-45 grams for my vacation in the Netherlands and another La Mostique because I thought the Rodfather was not suitable for bass fishing. But what can I say whether 7gram spin jig or 7cm rubber fish with 5gr head even these lightweight baits take the Rodfather over long distances! It is a true all-purpose weapon in my eyes after day one, my perch and pike rods remained in the apartment, I was able to land everything from small perches to medium walleye to a 99 cm pike without any problems with it, even 25 cm perches were fun with them and I could finally feel every small reason or fish contact. A really great rod for a fair price! I equipped it with a 4000 Shimano Nasci, with which the rod is very nicely balanced, more expensive Shimano reels are probably better, but then my budget was exhausted somewhere.

Great rod! Even as a beginner (approx. 3 years of angler) I have to say that this is really a great rod, I fish on this rod pretty much everything I have, from small rubbers to medium jerkbaits, or spinner baits, etc. I find this rod really cool! The feel of the rod is of course also very good, I like the fact that I finally have a rod where I don't hear any sawing noises from the line, however that works!? (The Sunline Super PE8 string on a 4000 Shimano Sustain) Really well done! Thank you...

Perfect rod for walleye and perch in my house water. But you can also easily land large pikes with this rod. The rod is very balanced. The length of 2.40 and the casting weight are perfectly coordinated.

Great rod for rubber fish fishing with smaller weights and baits. Love to use the rod for bass fishing with both jig and TwitchBaits. Thanks to the tight blank, the “Twitches” reach the bait directly. The Rodfather rods are visually convincing across the board anyway and they can do something else!
