Savage Gear Alpha SG4 Monster 2nd Gen (Casting)

Built for Monster Pike and the Heaviest Lures

The Savage Gear Alpha SG4 Monster 2nd Gen (Casting) are second-generation baitcasting rods built specifically for fishing with heavy to very heavy lures in pursuit of monster pike. Whether you're throwing giant swimbaits, heavy jerkbaits, XL spinnerbaits or bucktail spinners, these rods give you the power to cast them out, work them properly and drive the hook home when it counts.

Progressive Blanks with Serious Backbone

The Savage Gear Alpha SG4 Monster 2nd Gen (Casting) are built on Japanese Torayca 30T carbon blanks. These high-quality blanks combine a progressive action with enormous backbone, allowing you to place even the largest lures accurately at distance and retrieve them with full control. When a big pike finally takes, you have all the power you need to set the hook cleanly. That makes the Alpha SG4 Monster 2nd Gen (Casting) a serious choice for any big-pike hunter relying on large and very large lures.

Premium Components for Maximum Performance

A strong blank is a great start - pair it with first-class components and you have something special. Savage Gear fits the Alpha SG4 Monster 2nd Gen (Casting) with high-quality hardware from SeaGuide. The corrosion-resistant SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides feature a tangle-free design that prevents line wrapping on the cast. Their high-strength SiN inserts handle the constant load of braid without wear and dissipate friction heat efficiently during the fight. Maximum control comes from the ergonomic SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat, which keeps your baitcaster locked firmly in place and reduces fatigue over long sessions.
