Zeck Sexy Swimmer

Dietel's Action Shad

The Zeck Barsch-Alarm Sexy Swimmer is Dietel's Action Shad, born from the collaboration between Zeck Fishing and Johannes Dietel that also brought anglers a range of spinning rods and baitcasting rods. It's available in several sizes and takes its body shape loosely from a goby - a prey fish that has become widespread among our predators. The body is bulkier, tapering into a long, slender tail that is extremely flexible. This allows a predator to fold the tail on the take and get the lure fully into its mouth, reducing missed bites and putting more fish on the bank. The body has a pear-shaped cross-section and is salted in the lower half with a 20% salt content, giving the shad a low centre of gravity that produces horizontal sinking behaviour and excellent stability in the retrieve. The swimming action is a subtle rolling action with flanking and a gently low-frequency-waving paddle tail - and it starts working reliably even at the slowest retrieves and on the lightest jig heads.

A Versatile Shad with Attractant

The Zeck Barsch-Alarm Sexy Swimmer uses a soft yet stable rubber compound and comes with attractant. To help that attractant release effectively, the body is fitted with fine ribs that increase the surface area and generate micro-vibrations - something perch in particular respond to well. This is a highly versatile lure: it works on a jig head, but also on finesse rigs such as the Carolina rig or Free Rig. For use on an offset hook, it features slots on the top and bottom as well as an offset seam along the back that hides the hook point and allows a weedless rig. Thanks to the compact body, you can also cast the Zeck Barsch-Alarm Sexy Swimmer without any added weight and use it as a small swimbait. It was developed primarily for perch fishing, though the 12 cm size also works very well for zander.
