Westin is well known for quality rods, refined tackle and interesting lure concepts. The ShadTeez Slim is no exception - a soft plastic that carries the same attention to detail you find across the Westin range, and one that is well on its way to becoming a classic.
The Westin ShadTeez Slim - a First-Rate Lure for Perch and Zander
This soft lure features an extremely slender body, a length of 7.5 cm and a weight of 3.0 g. Despite its slim dimensions, the level of detail is immediately striking: realistic eyes, a distinctive mouth and pectoral fins are all carefully defined.
The paddle tail has roughly the same diameter as the body of the soft plastic, which means it kicks up a surprising amount of movement underwater for its modest size. The slim profile also allows predators to take the lure with virtually no resistance, as the ShadTeez folds in on itself - resulting in a significantly improved hook-up rate.
The Swim Action of This Ultralight Lure
The ShadTeez produces a tight, sinuous action even at higher retrieve speeds, and it is precisely this rolling movement that makes it so consistent and effective. As the lure works through the water, its flanks flash alternately from side to side - an effect further enhanced by the turbulence generated by the paddle tail. A superb choice when you are targeting zander and perch.
