Westin W8 Spin 2nd

High End for Sea Trout Fishing

The Westin W8 Spin 2nd are rods developed specifically for sea trout fishing. Light, highly sensitive and yet robust, they are built for the demanding pursuit of these prized salmonids. The low weight lets you fish for hours without fatigue, the sensitivity delivers precise lure control and accurate bite detection, and the robust construction handles harsh saltwater conditions and hard-fighting fish with equal ease.

Light and Sensitive, Yet Powerful

The blank of the Westin W8 Spin 2nd is based on a Torayca T1100GC blank with M40JB carbon fibre. This extremely light yet powerful blank provides outstanding sensitivity, giving you excellent feedback from your lure's action as well as every knock and touch. Fishing with focused concentration over long sessions feels effortless. For optimal balance, Westin recommends pairing the rod with fixed spool reels in size 3000 or 4000.

High-Quality Components from Fuji and Seaguide

Only top-quality components have been used throughout. The blank is fitted with tangle-free Fuji SiC guides and a Seaguide Arc Hook 2.5 hook keeper. For a secure reel seat, Westin has used the Fuji T2C carbon reel seat - the latest in carbon reel seat technology. It complements the refined handle perfectly, which features premium AAAA-grade cork. The split grip design gives the rods a classic look that is extremely popular among sea trout anglers.

Premium Neoprene Rod Bag and Individual Serial Number

Every Westin W8 Spin 2nd comes supplied in a premium neoprene rod bag that keeps the rod protected from damage and dirt. For shipping, the rod is additionally packed in a triangular cardboard box. Each rod also carries its own serial number, which has no effect on performance but makes every single rod that little bit more special.
