An Innovative Soft Lure with Plenty of Action in the Front Third
The Zeck Quappie is a particularly innovative soft lure designed by Sebastian Hänel. This low action shad has a silhouette reminiscent of a burbot, though it is not an explicit copy of one. The front section of the body is full and rounded, tapering noticeably from the midpoint towards a wedge tail at the rear. The two sickle-shaped pectoral fins on either side concentrate the main action in the front third of the lure, which is precisely where predator strikes are drawn towards the head area - and where the jig hook sits, giving it the best possible chance of connecting. Because the rear half of the body is so flat, it can be folded and inhaled without resistance on the take.
Flat Rear Section with Additional Features
The flat rear half of the Zeck Quappie has more to offer than just the wedge tail. The front body narrows into a pintail shape, which provides a degree of stiffness and stability and prevents the rear section from folding forward and catching on the hook. The flat, fluttering rear section also features ribs that add extra attraction to the action. These fine details make the Zeck Quappie a strong choice on heavily fished waters, where predators tend to take it without hesitation.
The All-Round Middle Size
The Zeck Quappie 12 cm is the middle size in the Quappie range. It is ideal for zander, remains interesting for perch, and pike are happy to take it too - making it a genuine all-round size that can produce almost anything. It works best on a size 3/0 jig head, but can also be used with other soft lure rigs.

Even on really difficult days when hardly anything else works, this bait drove zander and perch completely crazy. I got an unbelievable number of bites on it. The pectoral fins run super naturally and the bait is really easy to suck in, so far I haven't had a single miss. Will definitely be one of my standard baits from now on.

The Quappi... I'm not deducting a point for the sumptuous packaging... but maybe Carsten will think of a plastic-free version... because the quappi is not flavored; which I like! Unpacked and inspired, you'll make a strong figure even in the wind... Play the game for the first time in water! Something special was achieved there! Perhaps a small comment; another manufacturer has marked markings on their baits for the exit of the hook depending on the hook size... given the price, that should be feasible...

The run is very special. I've tried the quappies twice now. Unfortunately, the walleye are really bitchy on our canal right now. But I'm sure the walleye will love the bait. He will be playing to his strengths by winter at the latest.
