Zeck Quappie 8 cm

A Soft Lure Built Around Action in the Front

The Zeck Quappie, designed by Sebastian Hänel, takes a distinctive approach to soft lure design. This low action shad loosely follows the silhouette of a burbot without being a direct copy. The front section of the body is classically full and voluminous, tapering flat towards the middle and finishing with a dynamic wedge tail. The real focus of the lure sits in the front third, where two sickle-shaped pectoral fins generate high-frequency movement and draw a predator's attention straight to the head area - exactly where the jig hook sits for a solid hook-up. The pronounced flattening of the body makes it easy for a predator to take the Zeck Quappie without hesitation and inhale it cleanly.

Details in the Flat Rear Section

The back half of the Zeck Quappie has its own set of refinements. The body tapers down to a pin tail that keeps the lure stable and prevents it from folding forward and fouling the hook. The flat, fluttering rear section is also fitted with ribs, which add to the lure's attraction and action. These carefully considered details mean predators take the Zeck Quappie without caution, even on hard-fished waters.

The Smallest Size for Perch and Bonus Catches

The Zeck Quappie 8 cm is the smallest member of the Quappie range. It's ideally suited for targeting hungry perch, though zander keyed in on smaller prey will readily take it too. Especially during the summer months, when juvenile fish are about, you can expect plenty of welcome bonus catches. Rig the Zeck Quappie 8 cm on a jig head in size #2 or on the Zeck Rushka Hook in size #4.
