A Shad with Innovative Ribs

The Rippler is a shad designed and developed by Zeck's chief designer Chris Enders. The brief was clear: create a shad with a large silhouette, low weight, and outstanding action. To achieve this, the Rippler features innovative ribs that are angled and deeply cut. This design delivers improved aerodynamics and a reduced weight, while giving the soft plastic exceptionally high flexibility - an advantage both for the action itself and for allowing a predator to fold the lure easily in its mouth. The ribs also generate additional water turbulence, which further adds to the outstanding fish-catching ability of this soft lure.

Two-Speed Action

The Zeck Rippler has a two-speed action, made possible by the upper tail tip on the paddle tail. This small feature has a significant influence on how the lure behaves in the water, allowing you to adapt the presentation to different seasons and conditions. In winter, fish it straight out of the packet with the upper tail tip in place. It stabilises the action and damps down the tail's wag slightly, producing a slow-motion movement that larger predators find hard to resist in cold water. In summer, when more action is called for, simply remove the tail tip. Without it, the paddle tail wags far more aggressively, giving the lure an agile, high-pressure action.

A Smaller Size for Jig Heads and Shallow Rigs

At 16 cm, the Zeck Rippler 16 cm is one of the smaller sizes in the Rippler range. It fishes well on a size 6/0 jig head without a stinger, and if you prefer to fish with a stinger, pairing it with a size 4/0 jig head is the better choice. It also performs excellently on a shallow rig or various stinger rigs. However you present it, pike and zander won't leave it alone.
