Zeck Rippler 25 cm

A Shad with Innovative Ribbing

The Rippler is a shad designed and developed by Zeck's chief designer Chris Enders. The goal was to create a large silhouette at low weight while achieving excellent action in the water. To do this, the Rippler features innovative ribs that are set at an angle and cut deep into the body. These give it improved aerodynamics and a reduced weight, but at the same time deliver exceptionally high flexibility. Thanks to that flexibility, a predator can fold the soft plastic easily on the take. The ribs also generate additional water turbulence, another factor that contributes to the outstanding fish-catching ability of this shad.

Two-Speed Action

The Zeck Rippler has a two-speed action thanks to the upper tail tip on the paddle tail. This tail tip lets you adapt the action to different seasons and conditions. In winter, fishing with the upper tail tip in place makes sense: it stabilises the run and damps down the tail's wag slightly. This slow-motion action is particularly effective in cold water. In summer, you want more movement - so remove the tail tip. That lets the paddle tail wag more aggressively, producing an agile, forceful run with high-frequency flanking action.

The Largest Size

The Zeck Rippler 25 cm is the biggest in the Rippler range. At this size, the target species is clearly pike - and it lends itself well to targeting big, specimen fish. Despite measuring 25 cm and qualifying as a big bait, it weighs just 105 g, which means you can still fish it on standard pike rods. When it comes to presentation, a steady, linear retrieve produces bites most reliably, making it best suited to a shallow rig or a weighted stinger rig.
