G.Loomis Rods
G.Loomis rods rank among the finest on the American market and arguably anywhere in the world. If you want to get the absolute most out of your fishing, these are the rods to look at. G.Loomis is part of Shimano, which means G.Loomis rods also benefit from Shimano technologies.

A Specialist in Rods

G.Loomis is one of those brands that has focused on one thing and stayed there. The advantage: absolute precision and 100% focus on a single goal - building the finest rods possible. It is no surprise, then, that G.Loomis enjoys an outstanding global reputation as a rod-building specialist. Founded in 1982, the brand took the USA by storm and became a true phenomenon among largemouth bass anglers. Since 1997, G.Loomis has been part of Shimano and benefits further from their technologies.

Multi-Taper Design

G.Loomis developed the Multi-Taper Design, in which the rod blank is divided into distinct zones. Each zone can then be treated individually - more or less material, higher or lower graphite content. This reduces potential break points, making the rods more durable, optimises the action by tailoring each zone to its purpose, and improves balance while also reducing weight. The following video explains it particularly well:

Spiral-X Technology

The Spiral-X Technology comes from Shimano. Here, the blank is wrapped with 2 layers of carbon tape and one layer of carbon sheet. The first layer of carbon tape is wound tightly and diagonally around the blank. The second, middle layer consists of the carbon sheet with vertical carbon fibres. The third and outer layer then wraps the blank diagonally again, but in the opposite direction to the first carbon tape layer. This construction reduces blank twist and improves the overall performance of the rod. This technology is used, for example, in the NRX+ rods as well.
