Powerful Sea Rods for Every Salt Water Fishing Technique

Fishing at sea places enormous demands on your tackle. A solid sea rod must cast heavy pirks or soft lures to the required depth without effort, and still handle the uncompromising runs of cod, halibut or coalfish.

From sensitive sea trout rods for coastal work to rugged surf rods and stiff boat and inline rods for Norway, we have the right tool for your sea fishing.

Frequently asked questions
A sea rod needs corrosion-resistant ring frames, a strong backbone to handle heavy lures, and enough cushioning to absorb the powerful runs of hard-fighting sea fish.
For boat fishing, shorter rods between 2.10 m and 2.40 m are most common, while beach and surf casting calls for lengths of 3.90 m to 4.50 m.
It tells you the maximum lure weight the rod is designed to handle. For Baltic pirk fishing, 50-150 g is often sufficient, whereas in Norway casting weights of 200-500 g are commonly used.
You can, but the rings and reel seat are prone to rapid corrosion from salt, which is why dedicated sea rods last considerably longer.
