Abu Garcia Max Pike Casting Combo

For Casting and Trolling for Pike

The Abu Garcia Max Pike Casting Combo is available in 2 baitcasting combos with H and XH ratings, both built specifically for pike fishing. Whether you want to work jerkbaits or troll large plugs, these rod-and-reel combinations give you everything you need.

The Rods

The Abu Garcia Max Pike Casting Combo comes in 2 versions that differ in their rods. The lighter version is built around the Max Pike 702H, while the heavier - and longer - version features the Max Pike 832XH. Both rods are built on a 24T carbon blank and fitted with a split grip in high grade cork. The baitcaster sits firmly in an ergonomic reel seat. The shorter, lighter rod is right at home when you're jerking for pike, while the longer rod handles big swimbaits and trolling. What they share above all else: the power to bring large pike to the landing net.

The Reel

Both versions of the Abu Garcia Max Pike Casting Combo come with the same baitcaster: the Abu Garcia Max5 LP-L 300. It offers a high line capacity, making it well suited for casting large lures on strong line and playing even sizeable pike with confidence. The body and side plates are made from graphite, keeping the overall weight relatively low. It's a reel with great feel in the hand that pairs well with both rods.
