Abu Garcia Max SX Casting Combo

All-Round Baitcasting Combo

The Abu Garcia Max SX Casting Combo comes as 2 baitcasting combos rated M and H respectively, designed for medium and heavy all-round lure fishing. The lighter M-rated combo excels at heavy perch fishing with powerful lures and zander fishing, while the heavier H-rated combo is equally at home for zander and covers pike fishing with medium-heavy lures. Both the rods and the reel are built with quality, modern materials and deliver excellent value for money.

The Rods

The two variants of the Abu Garcia Max SX Casting Combo differ in their rods. The lighter combo comes with the Max SX 662M, while the heavier and longer variant is paired with the Max SX 702H. Both rods are built on a 24T carbon blank and feature a split grip in HD High Grade EVA. The ergonomic reel seat keeps the baitcaster firmly in place and, combined with the grip design, gives the rod a great feel in the hand.

The Reel

Both variants of the Abu Garcia Max SX Casting Combo come with the same baitcaster: the Abu Garcia Max5 SX LP-L 200. This all-round size reel pairs perfectly with both rods and handles a wide range of lure types and sizes. 7 kg of drag keeps even hard-fighting fish under control, and 7+1 ball bearings ensure a smooth, consistent retrieve.
