Uncoated 1x7 Wire Material for Building Your Own Wire Traces
The Balzer Shirasu 1x7 Stahlvorfach (unbeschichtet) / 5 m is a spool of 1x7 Niroflex stainless steel wire material for making your own wire traces. Thanks to its 1x7 braid construction, this uncoated wire is particularly easy to work with, and the 5 m spool gives you enough material to build a good number of wire traces at very little cost per trace.

Shirasu 1x7 Stahlvorfach (unbeschichtet) / 5 m 6 kg
I ordered the Shirasu 1x7 in 6 kg and the Sunline Siglon Wire in 11.9 kg. The idea was to use the 6 kg material for zander and the 11.9 kg material for pike. When unpacking, however, I noticed that the Balzer material (despite half the load capacity!) is much much thicker than the Sunline... Actually much too thick and eye-catching for a 6 kg leader. But the reason why I sorted it out again right after the first unpacking is the tendency to kink. I can barely describe it, but the material is zero elastic/resilient. It is hardly possible to wrap it off the coil smoothly and without a curl. If you bend it a bit, for example to put a loop, it stays in shape, like floral wire, and doesn't straighten again. In other words, completely inadequate and useless. I've never seen anything like this before and I've already tried many brands (Drennan, Quantum, Flexonit, AFW, Sunline,...).
