The Berkley Sick Vamper is part of Berkley's Sick Range, which comprises 6 different soft plastic models. The Sick Vamper comes in 4 sizes, covering everything from perch to big pike. This V-tail shad features a slightly more voluminous body paired with a slender tail carrying a large V-tail. A small weight sits in the fork of the V-tail, giving the lure a superb fluttering action on a jig head, when vertical jigging, and on a drop shot rig. Fish it more aggressively and the triangular cross-section of the body produces a pronounced belly flash action. In the smaller sizes especially, the Sick Vamper works equally well on an offset hook and even rigged as a soft jerk bait - a technique that also carries over to the larger sizes, provided you can find offset hooks of a suitable size. The two bigger Sick Vamper models at 18 cm and 22 cm are particularly well suited to vertical jigging and pelagic fishing alongside standard jigging. Every size is treated with Berkley Powerbait attractant, which not only triggers more bites but also encourages fish to hold on to the lure longer. The Berkley Sick Vamper is a versatile soft plastic with which you can target perch, zander and pike with equal confidence.
