Berkley Pulse Spintail 5 g

Berkley is one of the biggest names in fishing tackle, with an extensive range of rods and an enormous variety of lures covering just about every target species you can think of.

Double the Attraction

The Pulse Spintail from Berkley is a spin tail jig fitted with a double spinner blade setup that generates significantly more attention from predators than comparable metal lures. The two Colorado-style blades - different in size - push a tremendous amount of water pressure while simultaneously producing light reflections and sound generated by the rotation. The smaller blade creates an imbalance that sets the body of the Pulse Spintail vibrating, giving it a seductive rolling flank action. On top of that, the oversized eyes add an extra trigger that perch, zander, and pike simply find hard to ignore.

This lure is an ideal search bait when you're not sure where the predators are holding. Cast it as far as possible across a likely spot and work it back to cover plenty of water. The blades start spinning at minimal retrieve speed and keep going flat out throughout the retrieve, giving you a huge range of presentation options. From a straight, steady wind-in to active jigging - the Pulse Spintail handles it all. Let it sink to the bottom, then pull it up with one or two quick turns of the handle; that alone is enough to drive predators wild and get the bites coming.

At 5 g, the Pulse Spintail is an ultralight spin tail jig at its best when fished on a UL rod. That setup lets you feel every vibration the lure transmits and keeps you in constant contact with the blades - so you know immediately when they're running correctly and you'll detect every take the moment it happens. Fair warning, though: that light rod could be put to the test very quickly once a big perch decides to have a go at the Pulse Spintail.
