The SpinMad Originals 6 g
At 6 g and 5.5 cm, this is one of the smallest lures in the Originals range - ideal for targeting perch, chub and trout.
Craftsmanship and Fish-Catching Details
The SpinMad Originals is built to a high standard throughout. Its oversized eyes give inquisitive predators an obvious point to attack, while the sharp size 8 double hook ensures a solid hookset and keeps fish pinned throughout the fight. The defining feature of any spin tail jig is its blade, and SpinMad have fitted a Colorado spinner blade to a barrel swivel. That blade produces a tremendous amount of flash, which can work to your advantage depending on water colour and light conditions.
How to Fish It
You'll catch fish on a spin tail jig with a straight retrieve alone, but you can add extra action by introducing irregular pauses. When you stop the retrieve, the lure wobbles slowly towards the bottom like a wounded fish - this is often when the take comes. As soon as it touches down, you can rip it back towards the surface with a fast retrieve, imitating a fleeing prey fish to trigger a reaction from nearby predators.
The Originals 6 g is well suited to fishing specifically for perch, chub and trout. Its light weight makes it a natural choice for shallow water. SpinMad lures generate an impressive amount of vibration and pressure in the water, drawing predators from a considerable distance.

First test - first fish Yesterday I tested the bait for the first time. I ordered it after an acquaintance said that the bait was very catchy. When the weather was not optimal (warm, windless and half sunny), I already had a small perch on the second throw, but it came off just before landing. About half an hour later, a pike hung which also tore itself off. After two hours, something was finally stuck: a 65cm pike. He had the bait clean in his lip and landed easily. Since this was my first massive pike this season, it should go with me to filet. He noticed that he even had a fish in his stomach and only bit because of the bait's stimulus. The bait has a twin hook that is bent upwards so that it can also be easily guided by force. I am delighted and would recommend the bait to others??

In fact, I can highly recommend the baits. But I have to say that it's actually not really worthwhile for me to fish 6g let alone 4g. These baits are really very small but even small 8-10 cm perches attack extremely regularly, e.g. 12g or larger baits, although I had a nice side effect of being able to catch a few medium-sized pikes.
