The BIG L Solution Start Rod series is built for beginners and more experienced anglers alike. Each rod in the range is tailored specifically to one of the three most popular predators: perch, pike and zander. The blank is made from high-quality Japanese 40T Toray carbon and delivers a well-considered action that suits its target species. Light in hand yet robust and reliable thanks to quality components throughout, these rods are ready for plenty of successful sessions on the water.
This spinning rod designed specifically for modern trout fishing (1.84 m, 0.3-3.5 g casting weight) is built around a blank of Japanese 40T Toray carbon that places even the lightest lures with pinpoint accuracy over solid distances. Its balanced action cushions runs during the fight effectively, keeping hook pulls to a minimum when battling hard-fighting trout.
This spinning rod tuned precisely for light finesse fishing (2.10 m, 3-12 g casting weight) impresses with a light, responsive and well-balanced 40T carbon blank. It puts light rigs effortlessly out to the distances you need while allowing precise lure presentation and the optimal animation of finesse rigs and micro jigs.
The 2.10 m rod with a casting weight of 7-25 g is a genuine all-rounder for perch fishing: light, fast and sensitive. Small soft lures, jig spinners, plugs or rigs - this rod loads up cleanly, delivers strong casting distances from the bank and offers precise lure control. The blank from Japanese 40T Toray carbon provides a light weight, fast tip action and outstanding feedback - ideal for anyone starting out in the hobby who still wants quality in their hands. An ergonomic grip in high-quality Duplon EVA and a refined carbon butt cap round off the package both visually and functionally.
The 2.55 m rod with a casting weight of 10-45 g delivers exactly what matters when fishing for zander: power, control and precise feedback. Zander have hard mouths, so you need a rod that drives strikes home cleanly. The extra length provides more leverage on the strike and also improves the line angle when bank fishing along rip rap, which reduces snags and improves lure presentation. The rod handles all the classic zander lures: 8-14 cm soft lures, jig heads of 7-21 g and other typical zander rigs. The action loads up cleanly for long, accurate casts, both on stillwaters and rivers. The blank from 40T Japanese Toray carbon produces a fast, sensitive and lightweight rod - ideal for feeling bottom contact, reading the substrate and, above all, detecting the take. When jigging, that sensitivity is everything: the blank becomes your 'eyes underwater', ensuring you register every contact and can react in time.
The 2.40 m rod with a casting weight of 25-80 g is a real powerhouse - yet surprisingly light, so you can fish long sessions without fatigue. The blank from 40T Japanese Toray carbon delivers a fast, direct action, loading up cleanly to achieve maximum casting distances even with heavy pike lures. At 2.40 m this rod is a versatile all-rounder: equally at home on polders, rivers, lakes, the bank or a boat. The powerful blank provides the backbone you need to set large treble hooks securely and control even big pike with confidence. Whether you're throwing 15-20 cm soft lures, jerkbaits, swimbaits or large plugs, this rod handles everything a modern pike angler requires.
