Bite of Bleak Butter Bolt

A Goby Imitation with Big Eyes

The Bite of Bleak Butter Bolt is a small soft lure designed to imitate a goby. This invasive species is a primary prey item for perch wherever it occurs, making the Butter Bolt a particularly effective perch lure. That said, it catches just as well in waters where gobies aren't present. With its chunky body, oversized, eye-catching eyes and a high-frequency paddle tail, the Butter Bolt draws perch in reliably.

For Jig Heads and Offset Hooks

The Bite of Bleak Butter Bolt is well suited to jigging on a jig head, but it performs equally well on other set-ups. Thanks to its recesses and split dorsal fin, it can be rigged very effectively on an offset hook, opening it up to a range of finesse rigs including Carolina, Texas, Free and Cheburashka rigs.
