Daiwa Caldia Spin

Modern Spinning Rods with Uncompromising Functionality

The Daiwa Caldia Spin are spinning rods that pair visually and technically with the Caldia LT fixed spool reels - though they work just as well with any fixed spool reel, balancing precision, performance and design in equal measure. The foundation is an HMC+ carbon blank that is perfectly balanced and delivers a fast, convincing action. You get precise casts and, during the retrieve, the outstanding sensitivity lets you present your lure with real accuracy. Whether you're working hard lures or soft plastics, the versatility of these rods makes them effective across a wide range of situations. The Daiwa Caldia Spin combine modern design with uncompromising functionality.

Quality Components from Seaguide and Fuji

The components on the Daiwa Caldia Spin are chosen with the same attention to quality. The blank is fitted with a high-quality Seaguide ring set. These guides feature extremely thin Zirconia inserts, keeping weight low and improving recovery speed. Balance is optimised as a result, and you feel that directly when fishing. The rods sit comfortably in the hand and are a pleasure to use - helped in no small part by the EVA split grip and the quality Fuji VSS reel seat. Great feel and great looks, all in one.

The Special Models

Alongside the standard Daiwa Caldia Spin range, there are several specialist series. These rods are more focused in their intended use and perform particularly well in their respective niches, while the standard models cover a broader range of applications.

Caldia Light Spin

The Daiwa Caldia Light Spin was developed specifically for refined fishing on streams, rivers and trout ponds targeting trout, but it is equally well suited for catching perch on finesse rigs. The sensitive solid tip loads cleanly even with low lure weights and launches them to surprising distances. When working a lure - and especially on the strike and during the fight - the firm backbone comes into its own.

Caldia Jiggerspin

The Daiwa Caldia Jiggerspin was developed specifically for jigging with soft plastics between 8 and 14 cm in length. The sensitive tip lets perch and zander take the lure without resistance, and thanks to the fine, slim blank you stay in direct contact with the lure, feeling every change in bottom composition.
