Sensitivity and Precision Through Advanced Rod-Building Technology
The Daiwa Morethan AGS Seatrout is a spinning rod available in 2 different variants, developed specifically for sea trout fishing. Daiwa's engineers have combined advanced rod-building technology to raise both sensitivity and precision to another level entirely. Thanks to the use of various carbon materials, the Daiwa Morethan AGS Seatrout is not only light and slim, but also powerful and resilient.
A High-Tech Blank for Your Fishing
The blank of the Daiwa Morethan AGS Seatrout is built on an SVF carbon fibre construction treated with Nanoplus technology, resulting in an extremely light blank that returns to its original position instantly after the cast. An X45X Fullshield carbon fibre construction has been integrated into the blank, improving compression and making the rod highly torsion-resistant - allowing for longer and more precise casts. The 3DX 3D-Cross carbon fibre surface creates a distinctive carbon finish while also increasing durability. Completing the construction is a V-Joint Alpha spigot joint, treated with a special layer of BIAS carbon, which makes this sensitive connection extremely resilient. At the same time, this joint allows for the construction of very slim blanks with a noticeably improved bend curve.
Carbon Guides for Direct Feedback
The Daiwa Morethan AGS Seatrout is fitted with high-quality AGS carbon guides. At the same size, these are approximately 40% lighter than conventional SiC guides with metal frames, which has a particularly positive effect on the action and response of the rod. The tip sections of the SVF Nanoplus blanks react extremely quickly thanks to the weight saving, with no residual vibration after the cast. This combination of carbon guide rings and a premium blank works in perfect harmony. The guides also transmit every vibration and movement directly and without delay through the blank and into your hand, delivering outstanding sensitivity. For the tip ring, Daiwa has gone with a trusted Fuji SiC ring.
Premium Fittings and Safe Transportation
To give your fixed spool reel a secure seat and further increase torsional rigidity, the Daiwa Morethan AGS Seatrout features Daiwa's own Air Sensor reel seat, made from a carbon composite material that integrates seamlessly with the high-quality Hard EVA grip. The rod comes supplied in a high-quality rod sleeve, keeping it protected on the way to the water.
The Models at a Glance
The 'Heavy Hunter' with a casting weight of 7-35 g is designed for heavier fishing applications - long-range work, windy conditions, deeper water, and boat or kayak use.
The 3.10 m 'Longbow' with a casting weight of 5-25 g has a more parabolic action and is built for shallower shoreline venues and lighter lures. It delivers outstanding casting distances.
