Daiwa little Hog

Soft Plastic Crab for a Wide Range of Techniques

The Daiwa Steez Hog is a creature bait available in 2 sizes - designed in the form of a crab imitation. Its ribbed, flat body gives it an excellent gliding action in the water. It works particularly well when fished weightless on an offset hook. To help you achieve decent casting distance even with the smaller size and no added weight, that size is loaded with a higher salt content. Both sizes share highly mobile antennae, legs and claws that work enticingly at a slow retrieve and provoke predators into taking. Beyond the classic target species for crab imitations - perch, largemouth bass and zander - it also accounts for trout and chub very reliably. You have plenty of flexibility in how you present this soft plastic: weightless on an offset hook, on a Cheburashka rig, on a drop shot rig, or on any number of finesse rigs such as a Texas or Carolina rig - this lure consistently produces fish. On top of its enticing shape and action, productive colour range and salt content, the Daiwa Steez Hog is also loaded with a shrimp attractant. Once fish pick up that scent, they find it very hard to resist.
