Daiwa Tournament AGS Spin

High-End Spinning Rods for Every Application

The Daiwa Tournament AGS Spin is a high-end spinning rod series built for maximum lure control and precision across a wide range of applications. Every model in the range is based on an SVF carbon blank constructed using X45X technology and Nanoplus technology - a combination that makes the blanks exceptionally fast, very light, and still highly capable under load. You can fire lures out to maximum distance and still feel every movement and every contact right through to your hand. The result is a level of presentation accuracy that makes a real difference on the water.

The ML Rod

At 5-21 g casting weight and 2.10 m in length, the ML rod is a refined tool that punches well above its weight. It is extremely versatile - equally at home during street fishing in urban environments, in heavily weeded waters, or from a boat. It handles an equally broad range of lures: twitchbaits and soft plastics work just as well through it as crankbaits and small chatterbaits. A true all-rounder.

The MH Rods

The MH rods cover a casting weight of 14-42 g and were developed specifically for jigging for zander, pike, and large perch. Very fast, stiff blanks deliver highly accurate lure presentation and sharp bite detection. They are equally well suited to large twitchbaits.

The H Rods

The H rods handle a casting weight of 18-64 g, bringing considerably more power to the table. They are built for fishing larger lures on deep or fast-flowing waters targeting pike and zander. The combination of power and sensitivity lets you present soft lures on heavy jig heads with real finesse, and still convert every bite with a decisive strike.

The XH Rod

With a casting weight up to 84 g, this 2.40 m model has everything needed to fish large lures for specimen predators. This power variant is aimed squarely at big pike and heavyweight zander. Strength, control, and fighting comfort combine with outstanding casting performance and high sensitivity - the tool of choice for big-fish hunters.

The Technologies

• AGS Air Guide System - premium carbon-framed rings that are extremely light, optimising rod action, increasing recovery speed, and improving casting precision
• SVF Super Volume Fiber - carbon material with a very low resin content for blanks that are lighter and more sensitive, with near-zero tip oscillation and improved casting precision
• X45X Full Shield Technology - for blanks with exceptional torsional rigidity and outstanding casting and fighting performance
• Nanoplus Technology - for very light and strong blanks
• V-Joint A - a slimmer joint connection with increased stability and reduced weight
