Daiwa Tournament Double Clutch 60SP

A Japanese Plug with a Long Track Record

The Daiwa Tournament Double Clutch 60SP has built a formidable reputation as a go-to lure for perch and trout fishing. In Japan, the Clutch ranks among the most successful plugs on the market - and the sheer number of predators it has fooled makes that no surprise. Now available in 60 mm, this hard lure brings its proven Japanese pedigree to a compact format that no tackle box should be without. The patented SILENT G.O.S Balancer System ensures excellent casting distance despite the modest weight, while the realistic profile and wobbling, rolling action on a steady retrieve or when trolled makes it hard for any predator to ignore. For stubborn, hard-to-tempt fish, twitching and jerking the lure can make all the difference. As a suspending lure, it holds in the zone when you pause the retrieve, and it accounts for fish even on the most heavily pressured waters. The needle-sharp Japanese SaqSas treble hooks ensure a solid connection the moment a fish commits.

How to Fish It

A steady retrieve or trolling puts the lure's wobbling and rolling action to work, drawing strikes from perch and trout alike. When predators are reluctant to commit, work in twitching and jerking movements to trigger a reaction bite. Being a suspending lure, pausing the retrieve lets it hang in the strike zone - often exactly what it takes to tempt a following fish into taking.
