Daiwa Tournament Minnow 120SP

A Shallow-Running Twitchbait for Zander and Pike

The Daiwa Tournament Minnow 120SP is a shallow-running twitchbait from Daiwa's Tournament hard lure series, reaching a maximum running depth of 1.5 m when cast and 1.8 m when trolled. It's right at home when you're fishing over weed beds, working along margins, and targeting fish holding in shallow water. During the day this twitchbait is a solid choice for pike, though big perch and zander make regular appearances as by-catch. Come dusk, zander move into focus - the Tournament Minnow 120SP is equally well suited to slow night fishing for zander. Whether the sun's up or down, it gives you a versatile option for targeting large predators.

Long Casting Range and Extra-Strong Treble Hooks

The G.O.S. - Gravity Oscillate System - allows the Daiwa Tournament Minnow 120SP to be cast very accurately over long distances. That matters when you spot a pike hunting out at the weed edge and need to reach it in one big cast. To make sure big fish are not only hooked but also landed with confidence, this 12 cm version is fitted with particularly strong, razor-sharp SaqSas treble hooks. You'll convert nearly every bite and play out even the largest pike and zander without stress.

How to Fish It

During the day, twitching or jerking is the go-to approach: the lure kicks hard to the side on the retrieve and suspends perfectly on the pause. After dark, a slow retrieve with built-in pauses is the preferred method for zander.
