Daiwa Wilderness Travel

For Travel, Backpacking & Beyond

The Daiwa Wilderness Travel is a range of multi-piece travel rods built for anyone who needs a short transport length - whether you're travelling, backpacking, or simply want a rod that fits in a suitcase, rucksack, or bag. Thanks to a 4- or 5-piece construction, the packed length is just 47 to 56 cm depending on the model, so you always have the option of a few casts wherever you end up.

Something for Every Type of Fishing

The Daiwa Wilderness Travel range covers a wide spread of fishing styles. At the lighter end, the ultralight models have casting weights of 2-10 g and 5-15 g respectively. Fitted with a Solid Tip, they're well suited to light lure fishing with spoons, small soft plastics, or small twitchbaits - ideal for perch, trout, and other smaller predators. The heavier models step up in power to match their casting weights and are built for bigger predators. If you want to fish jigged soft lures or plugs for large perch, zander, pike, or other predators, you'll find the right rod in this series for almost any situation on holiday.

Saltwater-Ready Too

The Daiwa Wilderness Travel rods aren't limited to freshwater. They handle saltwater fishing just as well, whether you're after sea trout along the coast or other predators in more tropical waters. The saltwater-resistant Seaguide guides and the low-maintenance EVA grip make them equally at home in the salt, so these travel rods really do cover every situation.
