DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50SP

The Spearhead Ryuki 50SP for Slow-Flowing and Still Waters

The DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50SP is a 5.0 cm, 3.3 g minnow that excels as a twitchbait. Where the sinking Ryuki models are in their element in fast-flowing water, the suspending version truly comes into its own in slow-flowing to still waters. That said, its design also handles strong currents well - it simply shows a clear advantage over the sinking variants when the pace slows right down. Being a suspender, it hovers in the water column, which lets you work it at a slow pace with pauses: ideal for twitching in a gentle current just ahead of a prime lie holding a big brown trout, or running along a reed edge on a lake in search of feeding perch. On the twitch, it fires off a sharp darting action with a tantalising hang in the pauses. On a straight retrieve, it produces a superb rolling, flanking action that kicks in at low speed and stays consistent right up to a high-speed wind. With a running depth of 0 - 0.5 m, it covers all shallow areas and is well suited to days when predators are feeding near the surface. The DUO Spearhead Ryuki 50SP is an exceptionally well-finished hard lure offered in attractive natural colour schemes. If you prefer more vivid colour options, the Himemasu Edition has you covered.
