Fox Rage Buck Pike

The Buck Tail Head with Pike-Head Design

The Fox Rage Buck Pike is one of two Buck Tail heads from the British brand, and this one features a striking pike-head design. The hard foam construction gives it excellent hydrodynamics, and a full, voluminous animal hair skirt adds considerable bulk. Paired with a soft lure trailer - which you fit yourself - this combination makes for an exceptionally effective lure for pike.

Built for Shallow Water and Maximum Visual Impact

Thanks to its high buoyancy, the Fox Rage Buck Pike is slow sinking, making it an excellent choice for fishing shallow water and shallow sections of any venue. The extended sink time keeps it in the strike zone through pauses, giving pike plenty of opportunity to attack. The combination of a pulsating skirt and the enticing action of the soft lure trailer produces strong visual appeal and also stimulates the lateral line. Water displacement is high enough to generate clearly perceptible pressure waves, allowing pike to locate the lure instantly even in coloured water or low-light conditions. Large soft lures and curly tail grubs work well as trailers for the Buck Pike, each adding their own action and visual triggers.

Corkscrew Attachment and Extra Eye

The integrated corkscrew pin lets you thread the Fox Rage Buck Pike directly into the nose of your soft lure trailer for a rock-solid hold, even during a hard fight. The pre-rigged stinger system with treble hook is anchored through a pin in the trailer. When a pike takes the lure, the hook releases cleanly from the soft plastic - this protects the trailer from pike teeth and noticeably reduces the chance of hook pulls. A secondary eye on the underside of the head lets you attach a drop weight as needed, giving you the flexibility to adjust the running depth and target big pike in deeper zones.
