An Innovative Shoal Imitation

The Hart Manolo & Co is the result of a collaboration between Sergio Longas and Rubén Tarazona, two professional Spanish anglers and lure developers. The concept draws on the idea behind the American Alabama rig - a multi-lure presentation that imitates a small shoal of baitfish. Because the Alabama rig is banned in many European countries due to its multiple hook points, and because it requires very heavy rods, a different solution was needed. The Hart Manolo & Co delivers the same core idea: a soft plastic that imitates a shoal of fish in an innovative way and is enormously effective on large predators.

1 + 2 = Big Predators

The Hart Manolo & Co comes as a ready-rigged soft lure. From the colour-matched jig head, two sturdy fluorocarbon 'antennae' extend upwards, each fitted with a screw attachment that holds 2 smaller soft lures in place. The screw system also allows you to swap out the attractors whenever you like. Crucially, these additional soft lures carry no hooks, which means there is only one hook point in total - keeping the rig perfectly legal. Legal it may be, but predators pay no attention to that distinction. The '1 + 2 = big predators' equation holds up very well in practice, and pike, largemouth bass and large zander in particular respond well to this lure.

Simple, Steady Retrieve, Real Action and a Smart Weedless Effect

Fishing the Hart Manolo & Co is straightforward and uncomplicated. A steady, constant retrieve is all it takes - the paddle tail of the main soft lure combined with the two elevated companions generates plenty of attraction on its own. Because the thick fluorocarbon is flexible, it gives slightly during the retrieve depending on your speed, producing a particularly realistic action from the attractor lures. It also works as a weedless setup, letting you pull it through weed beds and submerged branches without constantly snagging. In essence, you fish the Manolo & Co much like a spinnerbait.
