A Striking Finesse Soft Plastic from Japan

The HIDEUP Coike Shrimp Magnum is a Japanese finesse soft plastic available in a range of colour patterns. It is the largest lure in the Coike Shrimp series, designed for big perch in the 40+ class, largemouth bass and zander. The first thing you notice about its design is the hair-like spikes distributed across the entire body. These generate a wealth of micro-action in the water, from pressure waves to visual attraction. During the fall, they slow the lure down and pulse with an irresistible action. They also serve as a weedguard. The lure is made from robust and flexible TPE and has a strong buoyancy that lifts it off the bottom.

Bottom-Hugging or Mid-Water - Your Choice

The HIDEUP Coike Shrimp Magnum can be fished at various depths and in different water columns. If you prefer to work close to the bottom, rigs such as the Texas & Carolina rig, the Neko rig or the Ned rig are all well suited. In every one of these presentations, the strongly buoyant material does its job - the lure stands upright on the bottom and imitates a fish feeding head-down, an ideal target for any predator. If you think the fish are holding in the mid-water column, you can fish it on a weightless offset hook rig. It sinks very slowly, pushing a surprising amount of water as it falls - exactly what cautious predators respond to.

How to Fish It

Work it on a Texas & Carolina rig or a Ned rig when targeting fish tight to the bottom, letting the buoyant material do the work as the lure stands up on the deck. For mid-water presentations, rig it weightless on an offset hook and allow the slow, deliberate sink to draw strikes from wary fish.

IMPORTANT: Do not store TPE lures together with soft plastics made from other materials - the plasticisers will break down the TPE. Keep TPE lures in a dedicated soft plastic box or in their original blister packaging.
