The Super DD Squirrel SP in Detail

These plugs come in lengths of 7.9 cm and 11.5 cm, with weights of 11.2 g and 22.0 g. The extended diving bill drives the lure down to depths of up to 4.0 m - earning this suspending minnow its SUPER DEEPDIVE designation. It hovers at depth rather than floating or sinking, making it a true 'suspender' in the water column.

The Right Retrieve: Active Twitching and Beyond

The Jackall DD Squirrel SP series ranks among the most popular twitchbaits in Europe, and it's easy to see why. You can work it aggressively and erratically or simply steady-retrieve it with a slow, even wind. Keep the rod still and let it glide horizontally on the straight retrieve, or use sharp rod-tip twitches to make it dart and dive quickly - mimicking small fish fleeing in a panic towards the bottom. That action drives perch, chub and asp wild, and the slender profile means pike, sea trout and even zander will readily take it too.

Super DD Squirrel SP 7.9 cm / 11.2 g / Table Rock Tiger

Fly pretty far and runs really well. When twitching, the bait breaks out really snappy. I'm very satisfied. The diving shovel gives the bait a lot of pressure, so the rod should not be too fine to handle the pressure.

Super DD Squirrel SP 7.9 cm / 11.2 g / Bone

The twichbait par excellence Just a super twichbait, the Super Deep Dive fishes really deep, runs at high frequency and can be thrown extremely far. 10/10 as you would expect with Illex.
