Swimbait for Jigging and Finesse Fishing

The Keitech FAT Swing Impact (FSI) in 3.3" is a swimbait particularly well suited to perch and zander fishing. Its tapered body is ribbed along the flanks, creating extra turbulence underwater that predators pick up through their lateral line. This compact swimbait works superbly on a jig head, but it also performs exceptionally well on a range of rigs including drop shot, Carolina rig and Texas rig. Alignment marks on both the top and underside of the body guide you for the jig head and offset hook respectively, making rigging straightforward. Two additional marks in the centre of the belly indicate the correct nail sinker placement for the Chikubi rig.

Specialist Moulding Process

The Keitech FAT Swing Impact 3.3" is produced using a 2-Tone Injection process, in which two separate rubber compounds are injected into the mould simultaneously. The result is particularly striking two-tone colour patterns, and it allows Keitech to vary the salt content between the two compounds. The lower section carries a higher salt content, which gives the FAT Swing Impact an exceptionally stable action - a significant advantage on weightless rigs. True to Keitech form, the lure also carries a strong squid attractant.

How to Fish It

Examples of rigging methods:

	Texas Rig (Weightless) - A slow, steady retrieve just below the surface is the key with this setup. For the 2.8" size use an offset hook in size #1; for the 3.8" a size 2/0; for the 4.8" a size 4/0; and for the 5.8" a size 6/0.
	Chikubi Rig - Nail sinkers are inserted into the body at the marked circles on the belly of the lure. This allows the lure to sink deeper than on a no-sinker Texas rig without stiffening the action. Match the weight of the nail sinkers to the size of the lure.
	Texas Rig - The classic Texas rig is highly effective in heavily weeded waters where a weight is still needed. If a longer sink time is required, the Texas rig can easily be adapted into a Carolina rig.
	Jig Head Rig - No rig sees more use than the jig head. Simply thread the FAT Swing Impact onto a jig head and you're ready to fish. You can also opt for tungsten heads instead of traditional lead, giving you the same weight with a smaller profile at the hook point.
	Jig Trailer - Here you fish a skirted jig to present the lure even in heavily weeded water. The skirt generates additional attraction, making this setup particularly effective on wary predators.
