Keitech FAT Swing Impact 4.8" (12 cm)

Keitech has built a strong reputation among anglers across Europe, and the FAT Swing Impact is a big part of why.

A Highly Effective Swimbait for Zander and Pike

The Keitech FAT Swing Impact 4.8" is an exceptionally effective swimbait that, at 12 cm, is aimed squarely at zander and pike anglers. Its ribbed body carries real bulk and delivers an action that draws strikes from all kinds of predators. Keitech manufactures it using a two-tone injection process, in which two separately coloured rubber compounds - each loaded with squid flavouring and different salt concentrations - are injected into the mould together. The result is a shad with highly appealing colour designs and a stable, consistent action. Because the upper and lower body contain different amounts of salt, the Keitech FAT Swing Impact tracks true regardless of which method you fish it on. The intense squid attractant encourages predators to hold on to the lure rather than dropping it immediately.

Wild Tail Kick and a Strong Rolling Action

The action of the FAT Swing Impact is genuinely distinctive. Its pronounced paddle tail sits at a sharp 90° angle to the body, driving a vigorous side-to-side kick that is strong enough to feel through a sensitive rod tip. On top of that tail action, the body delivers a powerful rolling action - a combination that predators find hard to resist. Even the lightest retrieve is enough to bring the Keitech FAT Swing Impact to life, and it starts working the moment it hits the water.

Versatile Rigging Options

Like other Keitech soft plastics, the FAT Swing Impact 4.8" is an extremely versatile soft lure that can be fished effectively on almost any method. This size is particularly well suited to a jig head or lightweight rigs such as a Shallow Rig or a belly-weighted offset hook. Pike, zander and large perch alike rarely pass it up.

Rigging Methods:

Weightless on an Offset Hook - A slow, steady retrieve just beneath the surface is the key with this rig. It has proven particularly effective for zander fishing at night.
Chikubi Rig - Nail sinkers are inserted into the body at the belly rings of the lure, causing it to sink a little faster. Match the weight of the nail sinkers to the size of the lure.
Texas & Carolina Rig - The classic Texas rig works extremely well in heavily weeded water where you still need weight to get the lure down, but it also produces over clean ground. If you want a longer fall, switch to a Carolina rig instead.
Jig Head Rig - No rig sees more use than a jig head. Simply thread the FAT Swing Impact onto a jig head and you are ready to fish. You can also opt for tungsten heads rather than traditional lead, giving you the same weight in a smaller profile at the hook.
Trailer - The FAT Swing Impact works very well as a trailer too. The image shows it on a skirted jig head, but it is equally at home on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.
