Hooked on Flavour
The Monkey Lures King Lui is infused with a seafood flavour to work underwater with a distinctive scent note. Even cautious predators and fish that follow without committing get an extra trigger - one that can tip the balance and make them bite. The secret is a special blend of flavourings, salt, and oil.
Built to Catch from the First Cast
Beyond its flavouring, the King Lui earns its reputation through a set of proven qualities. The extremely supple body is optimised for predators that inhale their prey - it folds together with ease and offers minimal resistance thanks to the particularly soft rubber compound. The eyes provide a key visual trigger for sight-hunting predators, and the proportionally large paddle tail ensures a steady, reliable action even at very slow retrieve speeds.
Rigs for the King Lui
Together, these features make the Monkey Lures King Lui a soft lure of the highest order, one that pike, perch, and zander find hard to refuse. It is genuinely versatile - fish it on a jig head, use it for vertical jigging or drop shotting, or mount it on a Carolina rig or Texas rig.
King Lui - 10 cm: What You Need to Know
Key Features at a Glance
- Large eyes as an aggression trigger
- Belly pocket for offset hooks
- Large paddle tail for lively action
- Notches for increased mobility
- Cutouts for added flexibility
The King Lui from Monkey Lures combines several standout design details that add up to a genuinely effective lure. The first thing you notice are the oversized 'cross-eyes', which serve primarily as an aggression trigger. Along the body you will find notches, and from the tail section onwards, cutouts - together these give the lure a particularly lively and forceful action, and they also allow a predator to fold the bait easily in its mouth. On top of that, every lure carries a heavy loading of flavouring, which encourages predators to hold on a fraction longer before ejecting the bait - giving you more time to strike and hook up cleanly. The rich colour schemes are a further highlight, with a number of variants offering strong UV activity.
King Lui - Colours at a Glance
- Sexy Jane: Clean and understated, Sexy Jane comes into her own at dusk thanks to strong UV activity. (Strong UV activity)
- Apple Bomb: A rich, deep green with plenty of UV response - a reliable temptation for predators. (Strong UV activity)
- Salt&Pepper: A classic colour pattern, particularly recommended for clear water. (Low UV activity)
- Purple Haze: A dark back with a pale lilac belly - the contrast is especially visible in clear water. (Low UV activity)
- Bugs Pumpkin: A very natural-looking pattern, ideal in clear to slightly coloured water. (Medium UV activity)
- Baba Brown: A brownish, understated tone with glitter particles throughout the body. The subtle colour is offset by strong UV activity that helps it stand out. (Strong UV activity)
- Motor Bug: Motoroil is a colour no lure box should be without - especially deadly at dusk thanks to its exceptionally high UV response. (Strong UV activity)
- Electric Monkey: Green, yellow, pink - a bold, loud combination that works a treat in coloured water. (Strong UV activity)
- Chili Cheese: The classic big-fish colour. The upper body is dark green, the lower half a lighter green to yellow, and the whole lure is flecked with red flakes. (Glow in the dark - absorbs and re-emits light)
- Big L Spezial: A signature colour designed personally by Louis aka. Big L himself. A vivid blue back, a whitish belly, and a standout pink tail. A colour combination that has never existed before - one for predators that have seen everything else. (Glow in the dark - absorbs and re-emits light)
The Latest Colour Additions
- Salted Perch: A striking design with green accents at the head and tail on a pale body - visible to predators from a distance. (Slightly UV active)
- Honey & Sugar: A honey-toned body with a vivid red head - no predator should be able to miss this one. (Light UV activity)
- Atomic Perch: A heavily dosed green in a bold, eye-catching pattern - ideal for coloured water. (Strong UV activity)

King Lui 10 cm Electric Monkey
Electric Monkey 10cm has given me all my PBs so far: 52 perch, 94 zander and 104 pike. Great for jigging! The only drawback: Tooth marks from bad bites are difficult to recognize. You can see them better with rubber fish that are not ribbed. Still 5 stars. My absolute favorite gummy fish.
King Lui 10 cm Salt & Pepper
Horny bait was able to catch my first walleye with the coolest rod in the world (Solution) and Monkey's. And that on the first try ❗️ To be honest, it took me 10 minutes and the first one was in the landing net. Really cool baits that are also good at catching perch and pike

King Lui 10 cm Motor Bug
Top color, very good action, good mix. However, sometimes you don't even hold your eyes until the shad is pulled on the jig... Still - good bait for walleye in the Elbe, certainly also for larger perches and pikes anyway.

King Lui 10 cm Salt & Pepper
Great bait. Worth every cent I have a few colors by now. Even though many say too expensive, etc. I have to say that the baits are worth the price. Some good catches are recorded and the baits are great
King Lui 10 cm Salt & Pepper
Great product range! ! ! Absolutely catches the Monkeys. Was able to arrest 5 winters even when fishing once. I have almost all the decorations now and will let go of the monkeys next year =)

Zanderkiller Absolutely great behavior in water which, among other things, is often the undoing of the walleye;) Good sizes and the strength of the bait are very good. Top product!

The rubber compound has worn off well with the “new batch” last year, they still held up well, or can you catch several zander catchers with the same rubber without any problems, now the rubbers are really a shame with the top baits otherwise
