Shad, Worm and Grub in One

The Nays RVN is the first curly tail grub in the Nays soft lure lineup. Its elongated body carries the slender, flexible profile of a worm, while being slightly more full-bodied - putting it somewhere between a worm and an exceptionally slim shad. Add the small curly tail and you have a combination of three popular lure styles: shad, worm and curly tail grub. It works because it genuinely takes the best from all three: the flexibility and foldability of a worm, the slightly broader profile of a shad, and the seductive action of a grub. On top of that, the body features the characteristic Nays ribs, which create additional water turbulence. Perch and zander are particularly fond of the Nays RVN, and pike also show up regularly on the larger sizes.

One Lure, Many Methods

The Nays RVN is a highly versatile soft lure that works well across a wide range of techniques. It fishes reliably on a standard jig head, but thanks to its offset hook slot it can also be rigged for finesse approaches such as the Carolina rig, Texas rig or Kickback rig. Its slim profile combined with the option to fish it weedless makes it well suited for extracting predators that sit tight in weed. Largemouth bass anglers would do well to add it to their lure box too. With finesse methods, where the presentation is often very slow, attractant becomes a real factor - fish have more time to inspect the lure, and a strong scent can make all the difference. Nays has given the RVN a shrimp attractant and also salted the plastic, a combination that fish find hard to ignore.
