Nays SCR

A Slim Profile and Subtle Action for Big Perch

The Nays SCR is a crayfish-style soft plastic available in a range of sizes and colours, and it sits comfortably within the finesse lure range from Berlin. Its subtle action comes into its own when predators are reluctant to commit - but the slim profile, combined with delicate, suspending claws, is enough to draw a take even on the most demanding days. The attention to detail in the design is exactly what you'd expect from this range. The Nays SCR has earned a reputation as a go-to lure for big perch, though bycatch should be expected.

Built for Finesse Rigs and Loaded with Salt

The Nays SCR covers a wide range of applications. First and foremost, it makes an ideal trailer for the Nays DLT and other skirted jigs. As you'd expect from a crayfish imitation, it also works well on a variety of finesse rigs. A dorsal slot simplifies mounting on an offset hook and keeps the presentation clean. There's more to this lure than conventional rigging, though. Thread it onto an offset hook in reverse and you have a backslide rig - a setup where the lure drifts away from you, letting you place it directly beneath overhanging structures, jetties, and even boats, exactly where the bigger predators tend to hold. The high salt content increases the lure's own weight, giving you a reasonable casting distance without additional weight. The compound is also loaded with flavour for that extra trigger.
