Perfect Balance of Light Weight and Robust Construction

The Okuma ITX CB is a JDM fixed spool reel built around a full carbon concept that achieves a perfect balance between lightweight design and robust TCA construction. C-40X long strand carbon fibre is used for both the body and rotor, reducing overall weight while delivering additional rigidity and strength. The aluminium spool contributes significantly to the weight saving - it is 30% lighter than the comparable spool on the original ITX. The spool shaft and washers are also aluminium, reducing weight further still. The result is a light yet robust fixed spool reel.

Reduced Friction for Exceptionally Smooth Rotation

The Okuma ITX CB brings together a range of modern technologies to deliver a high level of performance. The precision-cut brass gearing features the Flite Drive system, whose design reduces friction within the gearbox, lowering start-up resistance when cranking and keeping continuous rotation exceptionally smooth. Power is transferred through a carbon handle with EVA knobs that offer outstanding grip and improved control. 7HPB + 1RB high-performance bearings support the reel's performance at a consistently high level.

Improved Line Management and Faster Drying

The front end of the Okuma ITX CB has been refined in several ways. An Even Flow Roller system with DLC coating serves as the line roller, reducing line twist and - thanks to the coating - allowing the line to run particularly smoothly, which extends line life. To handle the fight of larger fish, the ITX CB features a multi-disc drag system using premium carbon drag washers and a Hydro Block seal. This drag operates smoothly yet powerfully, with enough stopping power for big fish. A further highlight is the Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR), which generates a cyclonic airflow with every turn of the handle, drying the spool and rotor faster and helping to prevent corrosion.
