For Insect Lovers

The 3D Cicada from Savage Gear is a faithful replica of a small cicada, designed to imitate a fallen insect on the water's surface. After casting, retrieve it slowly and steadily to create a crawling action that pushes a small bow wave - something that chub, trout and other insect-eating species pick up on immediately. You can also twitch it gently around snags and obstacles to work a specific spot thoroughly. This surface lure works exceptionally well in summer on streams and rivers.

Despite its light weight, the cicada casts very long distances, making it a solid choice when you need to cover water from further out.

For the best action, tie it on directly or use very light snaps on a floating mono leader rather than fluorocarbon.
