Savage Gear Thoriz

Built to Match the SG4 Rod Series

The Savage Gear Thoriz is a fixed spool reel series for lure fishing, available in a range of sizes. These reels pair perfectly with the popular SG4 rod series from Savage Gear - both in looks and performance - though they perform equally well on any other rod. The smaller sizes are right at home for perch and zander fishing with finesse rigs, jigs, crankbaits and twitchbaits. The larger sizes make excellent pike reels, performing best with big spinnerbaits and soft lures.

Smooth and Dependable

The Savage Gear Thoriz features a K-Alloy body that eliminates all gear play, allowing the Precision Cut gearing to run with exceptional smoothness even under heavy load. The 7+1 sealed stainless steel ball bearings support overall performance and contribute to a quiet, steady retrieve. Duragrease and Duraoil lubrication, combined with the hydro-sealed drag, provide further protection against corrosion - so you can rely on this reel session after session. The Thoriz is equally suited to freshwater and saltwater use from the coast.

Casting and Drag Performance

The Savage Gear Thoriz is fitted with a tapered spool, which benefits both maximum casting distance and the prevention of line twist. The Friction Control drag system with carbon drag washers works smooth yet powerfully, giving you confident control over hard-running fish. From perch and zander through to pike, there is a size to suit every application.
