Sawamura One Up Shad

Extra-Soft Shad from a Japanese Lure Workshop

The Sawamura One Up Shad is a soft lure from the workshop of Japanese professional Yukihiro Sawamura, available in a wide range of sizes and colour patterns. These shads have already put fish on the bank at high-profile competitions, and the reason anglers keep reaching for them is the exceptionally soft rubber compound that moves with a near-lifelike quality in the water. Whether you're fishing finesse rigs for perch, jigging hard for zander, or targeting largemouth bass and pike, the Sawamura One Up Shad range covers the lot.

Versatile Rigging and Maximum Action

The rigging options vary across the size range. Smaller versions work brilliantly on finesse rigs such as a drop shot rig, free rig or kickback rig, though they also pair well with small jig heads. For the mid-range and larger sizes, a classic jig head is the go-to choice, but they also fish well on an offset hook or a shallow rig. The action is driven by the paddle tail, which starts working under the lightest pressure and sets the soft compound in motion. A notch cut into the rear section of the body ensures maximum freedom of movement for the tail. On top of that, every Sawamura One Up Shad is loaded with Trum Allure attractant - something few predators can ignore.
