A Highly Versatile Premium Spinning Rod Series for Freshwater and Coast
The Shimano Sustain CX Spinning EVA is a highly versatile premium spinning rod series developed in Europe, covering virtually every aspect of lure fishing in freshwater and at the coast in salt water. These rods deliver high precision and excellent performance, thanks in no small part to a combination of advanced Shimano carbon technologies and high-quality components - resulting in outstanding lightness, responsiveness, and power across the board. The series has been designed with versatility firmly in mind. The shorter models, with their Fast Action, are ideally suited to twitchbaits and soft lures. They let you work lures with pinpoint accuracy, drawing out every bit of their fish-catching potential. The longer Distance models are the right choice when maximum casting distance is the priority - which is often the case at the coast. With these rods you can launch twitchbaits, plugs, and spoons to impressive distances without sacrificing casting accuracy. The Power Game models are the workhorses of the range, built for targeting hard-fighting predators with larger lures and jigs.
Advanced Materials, Exclusive Technologies, Outstanding Performance
The Shimano Sustain CX Spinning EVA is built on a high-modulus full carbon blank reinforced with Spiral-X Carbon Technology. This technology reduces blank twist, which improves casting accuracy and optimises power transfer. For the guides, Shimano has chosen Fuji K-Type Alconite rings - very light and offering exceptionally low friction line flow, creating ideal conditions for long casts and quiet retrieves. The rings are also highly durable and fully compatible with thin braid. The ergonomically shaped EVA split grip sits well in the hand and gives you a secure hold in any situation. For the reel seat, Shimano uses its own proven Custom Ci4+ reel seat, which keeps a fixed spool reel locked firmly in place while remaining light and highly responsive. Bites are transmitted directly to your hand, and the reel seat design completes the feel of the handle perfectly. The Sustain CX Spinning EVA rods offer an outstanding performance-to-price ratio and bring together modern materials, ergonomic design, and a clean aesthetic with a blend of power, precision, and casting efficiency - making them a strong choice for both freshwater and salt water.
