The Shimano Vanquish FC is Shimano's lightest MGL fixed spool reel ever built, crafted in Japan to the highest tolerances and packed with the same exclusive technologies found on the Stella FK. These reels are built for finesse fishing for perch, trout and zander in freshwater, while the larger 4000 and 5000 size models are equally well suited to coastal saltwater fishing. Extreme Lightness, Precise Performance and Maximum Casting Range

To achieve that extraordinarily low weight, Shimano used generous quantities of their proprietary composite material Ci4+ throughout the Vanquish FC. The lightweight Magnumlite Rotor delivers minimal start-up resistance when you begin the retrieve. Combined with zero handle play - the result of vanishingly tight manufacturing tolerances - this makes these reels ideal for finesse fishing, giving you precise lure control so the lure does exactly what you intend. The INFINITY DRIVE technology, borrowed from the Stella, ensures powerful yet effortless rotation even under heavy load, so you can play large fish smoothly and with consistent handle pressure. That precise performance is rounded off by exceptional casting distance, which the Vanquish FC owes in part to INFINITY LOOP technology. Even with very light lures, this improves casting range and lets you reach spots that were previously out of reach.
