Japanese manufacturer Shimano has built a reputation for outstanding tackle, and their rods and reels are held in high regard by anglers worldwide.
The Shimano Zodias Spinning Solid Tip
The Shimano Zodias series has earned a huge following thanks to its fantastic performance at a genuinely fair price point, and the Zodias Solid Tip range is no exception. It extends the lineup with a set of specialist rods built for rig fishing, aimed squarely at finesse anglers. The Hi-Power X blank delivers maximum sensitivity and direct bite transmission, while an ergonomically shaped reel seat in lightweight Ci4+ material ensures precise handling and unfiltered feedback. The Monocoque Reargrip, already familiar from the Poison Adrena series, is constructed from hollow carbon - no additional materials are wrapped around the blank. Compared to a conventional grip build, this reduces weight and amplifies lure vibrations and bites through the resonance chamber, so you can feel the bottom, lure action, and takes with real clarity.
The Solid Tip range is ideally suited to drop shotting, Texas rigging, and ultra-finesse applications such as Ned rig and Neko rig. These rods also perform excellently for trout lake fishing with the lightest lures, and the powerful backbone means you have plenty of reserve when battling hard-fighting fish such as big rainbow trout.
Shimano has also paid close attention to components throughout, fitting Fuji Alconite guides with a Fuji SiC tip ring.
The Shimano Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 70XUL: The ultralight model of the Solid Tip range. This rod is ideal for the lightest soft lure applications for perch, various non-predatory species, and trout lake fishing.
The Shimano Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 74L: The classic perch rod for a wide range of soft lure applications. At 226 cm it gives you plenty of length for longer casts.
The Shimano Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 74ML: The ideal street fishing companion. It handles a solid range of lure weights and is exactly the right length for all-round bank fishing.
The Shimano Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 80UL: The longer ultralight of the series. If you regularly fish light weights at greater distances, this is the one to reach for - it also excels at spoon fishing at range.
The Shimano Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 80ML: Built for finesse anglers who need to cast long distances from the bank.
The Shimano Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 82M: The right tool for anyone working finesse techniques for zander. Sensitive bite indication, casting power, and enough length for distance bank fishing.

Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 70XUL / 213 cm / 0.5-5 g / zweigeteilt
An excellent rod. Not just something for the eye, but above all in terms of performance. It is important to me that the rod is immediately back in position when thrown and does not slouch around forever. The action is also perfect. Not too soft (as is often the case), but not too hard either. Whether you like this crunchy handle is a matter of taste. Plus Fuji rings and roll holders. Everything you need is there and on.

My first solid tip and I'm in love. The action of the rue is unique and you really feel it when a fish just swims by. As I said, my first Ultra UL, but I can't imagine it any better. Casting weight is also quite good up to 10g as long as you don't fully onion
Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 82M / 250 cm / 4.5-21 g / zweigeteilt
Everything is great! The rod is a lot of fun! Packaging and delivery were great. Would order here again :-)

Very well made, a bit too top-heavy for my taste.
Zodias Spinning Solid Tip 74ML / 226 cm / 3.5-14 g / zweigeteilt
The tip of the rod arrived broken, the seller informed but he didn't speak up at all. Very disappointed with customer service.
