VMC Spinshot Lok Hook (7130SH)

VMC, part of the Rapala group, is known worldwide for high-quality hooks.

A Drop Shot Hook with a Difference

The VMC Spinshot Lok Hook is a highly specialised drop shot hook that brings several standout features to the rig. The most obvious is the SpinShot® system - the hook is mounted on a swivel-style connector that allows 360° rotation. That alone sets it apart, but there is more to it than that. Because you tie your line directly to the swivel eyelets, you can use different line strengths on the same rig. Run a lighter line down to the weight below the hook and you have a built-in weak point: if you snag, the line below the hook breaks first, and the rest of the rig is saved - usually only the weight is lost. There is also a particularly useful option for making your drop shot rig pike-proof. Instead of fluorocarbon above the hook, you can attach a thin wire trace - and those pike that haunt drop shot anglers suddenly become much less of a concern.

A Well-Designed Bait Keeper

The Spinshot Lok Hook features a Resin Keeper - a small drop of resin on the hook shank that prevents the bait from slipping. Whether you rig your soft plastic via nose hooking or thread it on, it stays put. This extends the life of your lures, particularly soft plastics. Unlike a barb-style bait holder, the resin drop does not tear through the rubber when you change baits, so you get a cleaner presentation and your lures last longer.
